Golf in Morocco at a glance
Morocco golf holidays give you two very different trips. Marrakech is a golf and city break, with championship courses by Colin Montgomerie, Kyle Phillips and others on the edge of the city, the Atlas Mountains behind them and the souks and restaurants of the medina a short drive away. Agadir is a beach break on the Atlantic coast, with ocean-view courses, a long sandy beach and mild weather all winter.
Many of the hotels are all-inclusive, so the price covers your room, food, drinks and golf. We put the whole trip together: hotel, tee times and transfers, with small deposits and each golfer paying their own share.

Morocco's best golf courses for groups
Marrakech
Marrakech's courses range from tree-lined parkland to open desert layouts, nearly all with the Atlas Mountains on the horizon. These are the ones our groups ask for most.
- Royal Golf Marrakech: Morocco's oldest course, with tree-lined fairways and plenty of history.
- Golf Al Maaden: a Kyle Phillips design that winds through hills and natural wetlands.
- The Montgomerie Marrakech: Colin Montgomerie's course, with wide fairways and big mountain views.
- Assoufid Golf Club: desert-style golf around 30 minutes from the city, known for its greens.
- Fairmont Royal Palm Golf & Country Club: the resort course at the Fairmont, ideal if you want to stay and play.
- PalmGolf Marrakech Ourika: desert landscape and water hazards, around 15 minutes from the centre.
Agadir
Agadir's courses sit along the Atlantic coast, with sea breezes that keep things comfortable even in summer.
- Taghazout Bay Golf Course: ocean views from almost every hole, right next to the Hyatt Place resort.
- Golf du Soleil: a big golf complex next to Tikida Golf Palace, ideal for groups who want to stay and play.
- Golf Les Dunes: 27 holes laid out through eucalyptus and tamarisk trees.
- Golf de l'Ocean: 27 holes close to the coast, with plenty of water in play.

- Golf societies are welcome. See our GroupiaGolf Society page.

You can play golf in Morocco all year. Marrakech gets hotter in summer and cooler on winter evenings; Agadir's Atlantic breeze keeps it milder all year round.

|---|---|---|
| March to May | Warm and dry, around 20 to 30°C. Courses in great condition. | The best golf |
| June to August | Very hot in Marrakech, often close to 40°C. Agadir is cooler thanks to the sea breeze. | Agadir, or early tee times |
| September to November | Warm, settled weather and comfortable rounds. | The sweet spot |
| December to February | Sunny days; cool evenings in Marrakech, milder in Agadir. | Winter sun and value |

Getting to Morocco
- Marrakech: fly to Marrakech Menara, around 3 to 3.5 hours from London, with direct flights from most UK airports. The airport is close to the city and the courses.
- Agadir: fly to Agadir Al Massira, around 3.5 to 4 hours from London. Taghazout Bay is about 45 minutes from the airport.
- Transfers: airport transfers are included in our packages.
- Before you travel: check passport and entry requirements on the FCDO travel advice page, and your airline's golf bag allowance.
Beyond the golf
Marrakech is a brilliant city for a group. Wander the souks and the Jemaa el-Fnaa square, visit the Jardin Majorelle, eat tagine and couscous in the medina, or relax in a traditional hammam after your round. On a rest day, take a trip into the Atlas Mountains to see the Berber villages.
Agadir is all about the beach: a long sandy bay with a seafront promenade, bars and restaurants. Taghazout, just up the coast, is a laid-back surf village, and the Souk El Had is one of the biggest markets in Morocco.
"Groupia are amazing! They took the stress out of me doing everything myself."
"Had a great time and the booking process was easy and straightforward!"
